From now on, Bellight is producing new line of lamps for greenhouses – Bellight Agro.
Uniform and qualitative illumination has a big influence on cultivation of cultures in the closed soils.
Standard incandescent lamps are not suitable for the plant lighting. They have low efficiency and half of the energy leaves in the form of heat, able to dry up plants and this does not allow install the lamps low.
Our HPS lamps are supplying the greenhouse with the right amount of light, which plants absorb during the natural lighting.
Advantages of artificial lighting:
– Plant growing all year round (production control);
– Helps producing plants of higher and more stable quality for shorter time, when the demand for them is the highest;
– Helps growing thermophilic crops that are not typical for the local climate;
– The resistance to diseases (mainly “fungal”) significantly increases;
– Reduces the final cost of vegetables by 15% by increasing the yield.

Characteristics and installation
BELLIGHT HPS lamp is a high-performance sodium radiator, placed in an evacuated bulb with an internal mirror coating. A special feature of the lamp design is the creation of the longitudinal orientation on the flask of a reflective profile, providing a predetermined light distribution with axial asymmetry and excluding multiple reflections and the reflected radiation’s hitting on the discharge tube.
The compact effective mirror reflector of the lamp provides an efficiency of the optical system of at least 95% and a degree of protection IP 67, a utilization factor of 100% and creates an optimized longitudinal redistribution of the light flux.
The cap in the lamp rotates, allowing orienting the lamp in the fixture in the right direction. The reflector creates an optimal longitudinal distribution of light, increasing the efficiency of the luminaire.
Consumption of electricity, when using the HPS lamp, is reduced by 20-60%, and the high reliability of the structural elements allows saving on maintenance and replacement of reflectors.
For HPS lamps, special hanging dome-type fixtures are produced for the greenhouses. They include all the necessary elements, including an ignitor, an inductive ballast, a protective cap and a compensating capacitor that reduces the reactive load.
These fixtures are being fixed at an altitude of 2-2,5 meters permanently. Illumination while using such fixtures increases by 2,5-3 times, and the number of light points reduces. Thus, HPS lamps are an optimal option of high-quality lighting at minimum cost.
Recommended lighting power relative to the area of the greenhouse:
Power 150 W corresponds to an area of 60 x 60 cm
Power 250 W corresponds to an area of 90 x 90cm
Power 400 W corresponds to an area of 120 x 120cm
Power 600 W corresponds to an area of 200 x 200cm

The efficiency of the BELLIGHT HPS lamp’s optical system practically does not change during the entire lifetime of the lamp (Safety factor = 1.1) due to the fact that the mirror coating is hermetically sealed from the environment (in a vacuum).
